This 1972 Volkswagen Transporter is a T2AB transition model van that has been fully mechanically restored.
According to the owner, it was originally delivered in Sweden where it served as a forestry service vehicle. It is painted in the forestry company’s original colour scheme. The T2AB model was produced for only one year, featuring a modernized chassis, disc brakes and a more powerful engine, while still retaining the earlier design. This example has a walkthrough between the front seats.
The underside and rust damage have been fully sorted and painted, while the exterior body was left with natural patina to preserve its unique look. The engine and suspension have been rebuilt, new brakes have also been installed.
The vehicle has a Swedish registration. Remaining work is being completed (carburetor adjustment, steering column replacement).
