This 1991 Mercedes-Benz 500 SL is an R129 generation roadster, powered by the 5.0-litre M119 V8 and automatic transmission. The car was originally sold in Japan and has been in Poland since 2020.
According to the seller, he has had the car since February 2025. The interior has been reupholstered in genuine leather, while the matching hardtop was purchased separately, repainted and fitted with a new headliner. The wood trim has also been restored.
Recent mechanical work includes replacement of the brake discs and pads, fluids, battery, distributor caps, ignition leads, spark plugs and fuel-pressure accumulator. The car has also been sound-deadened.
The seller claims the car has no rust and all functions currently work, although several issues remain to be addressed. The right-hand side has previously been repainted. The seller reports that the car was stripped during inspection and no major body repairs were found, while the underbody components are said to remain original and unrepaired.
