History and additional information

This 1997 BMW 318i is an E36-generation model, powered by a modified 3.0-litre inline-six based on the M52 block, paired with a manual transmission and rear-wheel drive. The engine conversion is officially registered.

According to the seller, the car was imported from Germany to Latvia in 2024 with verifiable mileage. It has not been driven during Latvian winters and has never required welding repairs. The engine was rebuilt using new gaskets, bearings, piston rings and other replaceable components. Its specification combines an M52 block with an M54B30 crankshaft, camshafts and pistons, alongside an M50 intake manifold. The engine bay retains M52B28 ancillary components, and a large Nissens radiator has been fitted.

The engine produced 221 HP and 298 Nm on a dyno at Patmalnieks. The oil and filters were changed at approximately 176,600 km. The exhaust system is standard.

The suspension has been refreshed with Bilstein B6 dampers and Eibach Pro-Kit springs. Some suspension bushings have been replaced with polyurethane items. The interior features leather upholstery and trim, an M-Tech II steering wheel, armrests and an Odessa short shifter. The seller states that the car was built for personal use and has not been used on a racetrack.
