This 2000 Toyota MR2 Spyder is a heavily modified mid-engine sports car built as a competitive lightweight track car. It's powered by a Honda K20Z4 2.0-litre engine, paired with a manual gearbox featuring and rear wheel drive.
According to the seller, the curb weight is approximately 950 kg and the dyno-verified output is 224 WHP. The car has been developed specifically for track use and features a full roll cage, extensive chassis reinforcement, racing suspension, upgraded brakes and numerous weight reduction measures. According to the seller, the car won the BestLap Unlimited 2000 class championship in 2024.
The current owner has had the car since late 2022, when it was imported from Greece to Estonia. It has since been used primarily for track driving. The seller notes that the vehicle is mechanically in very good condition with cosmetic defects. The car is currently not road legal in Estonia, but depending on local regulations it may be possible to register the car as a street vehicle in other countries.
The seller highlights the car’s performance with several notable lap times on street tyres:
Porsche Ring: 1:24.9 (comparable to modern Porsche 911 models).
Tabasalu kart track: 41.8 (most modern sports cars are in the 43 second range).
Raassilla track: 37.31 (approximately one second behind a Porsche 992 GT3).
The seller notes that the price can be negotiated depending on whether certain components such as the rear wing, seat, wheels or tyres are included.
